Malidoma Patrice Somé (1956–2021) was a renowned Dagara elder and Stick Diviner Shaman. He played a pivotal role in introducing Dagara spiritual practices to the Western world. AK Gabriel has been rigorously training with Baba since 2016 and continues to contribute as an elder at ECV, located in Cherry Plains, NYC.
Divination in Dagara culture is a sacred practice used to seek guidance, understand personal and communal issues, and maintain balance between the physical and spiritual worlds.
